Sessions Counseling Group's Mission
Our mission is to facilitate continuing education through group supervision for post-graduate/prelicensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapists while providing affordable counseling services to the community in a private practice model.
Our offices are located in the Valley Village/Sherman Oaks area near Riverside Drive and Coldwater Canyon. Sessions Counseling Group is looking for MFT Associates registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences to join in with a start-up corporation.
We are looking for prelicensed BBS registered MFT Associates to join our private practice group. We also welcome newly licensed LMFTs who are seeking a space o build a practice with the added support of our community.
We are a start-up corporation and we are excited about the opportunity to include upcoming, self-directed individuals to share our vision of group collaboration in the therapeutic environment.
Theoretically, we are looking for, but not limited to, individuals who are Depth Psychological/Psychodynamic in nature.

Supervision
Sessions Counseling Group
We ask our MFT Associates to obtain and maintain a minimum of four (4) direct service clients each week.
Sessions Counseling Group will advertise as a group and direct potential clients to visit our website where each Associate will have a picture and profile. Since we are working within the private practice model, we encourage all Associates to be contacted directly by the potential client. As such, telephone and email contact must be provided for posting.
As client notes are an integral part of supervision, notes are required for each client and to be submitted to the administration or supervisor weekly. A weekly two-hour group supervision will also be required.
Group supervision is currently held on Tuesday of each week from either:
• 1 pm–3 pm with Rande' Dorn
or
• 5 pm–7 pm with Gary Pearle
Individual supervision will be at the discretion of the supervisors.

Associates
Associates
MFT Associates
MFT associates will be employed by Sessions Counseling Group under the agreement of a 50/50 profit share of client payments received for services rendered. Although each Associate will have the liberty to set client session fees at their discretion, each session must be payable to Sessions Counseling Group.
All payments to be made to Sessions Counseling Group shall be in the form of credit or debit through PayPal, Square or check.
Client payments made to Sessions Counseling Group will be submitted to administration and processed. MFT Associates' profits will be submitted to a payroll service. MFT Associate payment for services will be paid out once per month.
A refundable office key deposit of $50.00 will be required upon employment.
Sessions Counseling Group Associates must carry professional liability insurance and add Sessions Counseling Group, Gary Pearle and Rande Dorn onto this policy as additionally insured.
We at Sessions encourage the autonomy of the therapist and the intrinsic skill set each therapist possesses. We are excited for new and creative means of outreach that may come from our group collaboration, colleague contacts, membership in professional organizations, social media, and additional individual web presence combined with a personalized experience.
As such, we encourage any additional community presence each intern may contribute. Any outreach, while under supervision with Sessions Counseling Group, must be reviewed and approved by administrators.
